Mr. Vivek K. Tankha is the worthy son of an illustrious father. Being the son of Late Justice R.K Tankha, he has proven to be a deserving inheritor of that rich legacy. He is a Senior Advocate and a Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha. During his many years at the Bar, and in Public Life Mr. Tankha has been involved with advising and decision making at the highest level of Government and Private Institutions as well. He served as Advocate General, Madhya Pradesh, Additional Solicitor General of India, Union of India and many other important positions, including his stint as a Member or Chair of various High Powered Committees. Notable being that of the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India to negotiate the bilateral /multilateral Legal Service co-operation framework / policy and procedure with USA and UK, so as to facilitate the trans-national statutory trade compliance and dispute resolution;Chairman - Legal Expert Committee Constituted by the State of Madhya Pradesh on the World’s biggest industrial disaster in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India, post judgment by Bhopal Trial Court in the question of criminality;Chairman- Electoral Reforms Committee established by Ministry of Law & Justice / Election Commission of India jointly to recommend Electoral Reforms in the country.

Apart from the above, Mr. Tankha has also been God gifted with a keen sense of social responsibility. He has been involved in various projects and social causes to help with areas hit with natural calamities, or facilitate medical help to those in need.He is the Founder Member &one of the Managing Trustees of Justice Tankha Memorial Rotary Institute for Special Children; an internationally renowned trust, which has helped establish and runs schools in Central India, dedicated to the upliftment of specially abled and spastic children
