Mr. Shivang Dubey was born to a family of lawyers in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh. He graduated from Hidayatullah National Law University with a B.A.LLB (Hons) in 2011. After enrolling himself with the Bar, he joined the chambers of Mr. P.S. Koshy at the Chhattisgarh High Court (Currently, Hon’ble Mr. Justice P S Koshy, Judge Chhattisgarh High Court). His Lordship was a Practicing Advocate at that time and was elevated to the Bench in 2013. Thereafter, he opted to pursue post graduation (LLM) from Cardiff University in Commercial Laws.
After completing his post graduation, he returned to Chhattisgarh High Court to join chambers of his father. However, gaining valuable experience at the Chhattisgarh High Court, he shifted his practice to Delhi to make regular appearances before the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India. He was blessed to have the opportunity to work at the chambers of the then Senior Advocate Ms. Indu Malhotra (Currently, Hon’ble Ms. Justice Indu Malhotra, Judge, Supreme Court of India). He had the opportunity to work under her guidance for a year, before she was elevated as judge of the Supreme Court of India. Her Ladyship holds the distinction of being the first female judge to be directly elevated from the Bar to the Supreme Court of India.
At present, Mr. Shivang regularly appears before the Chhattisgarh High Court, Delhi High Court and Supreme Court of India. He is on the panel of advocates of the Bar Council of India, Chhattisgarh Power Holding Company, Chhattisgarh State Electricity Regulatory Commission, Punjab National Bank. Through the years of his practice, he has gained knowledge in the field of writ jurisdiction, criminal jurisprudence, land and commercial matters, service law, rent law, arbitration matters, et al.
